It matters to you, so it matters to us…

When we came around to the idea of starting North End Bag Company, it was because we realized that there was a gap between the "guy who makes the product" and the "customer." We wanted to do things a little differently. We wanted the relationship between the "product," "producer" and the "consumer" to be a little more intimate. One way we have strived to do that is by giving our community a front-row seat to our process and our shop. However, we want to extend that invitation beyond our Virginia Beach family and give folks a glimpse at what we think makes a North End Bag Co. bag truly exceptional.

I'll give you a hint: It doesn't have anything to do with any fancy logo or design… nothing high-tech or "super-new and amazing." It's just us in here. Our secret is in making sure we get the little things just right. It's in the way we pick our materials, the care with which we design each piece and the way we carefully craft each bag. It's these somewhat unnoticeable touches that add up to a big difference. It's simple. It's thoughtful…it's a mindset. Our products are an extension of those beliefs. We want to share our process, our workshop and our stories with you because we believe that these matter to you too.

Life can't be all about the "go" and "now." We believe in the journey. It's the "process" that brings our bags to life and it's your everyday adventures that give them a story. We believe in detours, unmarked trails and beach days as well as everyday grocery runs, daily errands and trips to the local farmer's market. When you see the world as an adventure, every simple moment is another opportunity for something amazing to happen. That's what we believe and it's how we got our start. Come on in to our workshop and take a look around. I'm sure we have something that will work wonderfully for your daily adventures.

For those of you who can't drop by, we're sorry we can't wrap up our workshop, replete with the smell of leather and the sound of humming, century-old sewing machines. That doesn't mean we can't get to know each other. That's one of the main reasons we started our blog! So come on in, cozy up and have a chat. This blog was made for you. It is a place where we can let you in on the daily activities of the workshop, as well as listen to and share your adventure stories with other passionate adventures.
